What’s New for the Tri Glide® Ultra in 2023
The Tri Glide® Ultra is not a new model. It was first available at Harley-Davidson® of Wesley Chapel for the 2009 model year. It was known then as the Tri Glide® Ultra Classic. The name was shortened about five years later as part of substantial overhaul to the chassis. Note much has changed for the 2023 model. The color palette has been updated, and we’ll break those choices down in an upcoming section. The brand has also made some refinements to the infotainment system.
Performance & Ride Characteristics
The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra in Lutz is a three-wheeled motorcycle that is fully dressed for long-distance touring. Ride characteristics include an upright riding position, floorboards, a passenger seat with backrest, a windshield, a fork-mounted fairing known as the batwing, a trunk and a touring pack with a luggage carrier. It has an infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touch screen. It’s powered by the twin-cooled Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine, and it comes standard with advanced riders assists, including standard and cornering-enhanced electronic-linked brakes with ABS.
Tri Glide® Ultra vs Other Harley-Davidson® Trikes
The obvious models to compare to the Tri Glide® Ultra are the Freewheeler® and Road Glide® 3, and you can experience all three of these models if you like when you test ride the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra. Whereas the Tri Glide® Ultra is a fully dressed tourer, the Freewheeler® is a stripped-down cruiser. The Road Glide® 3, on the other hand, is a full dresser like the Tri Glide® Ultra with the main difference being that it has the frame-mounted fairing known as the shark nose.

The touring enthusiast who wants the convenience and stability of the third wheel is the obvious choice for the Tri Glide® Ultra, but it appeals to a much wider base. The trunk and luggage carrier also make it an excellent option for the rider who wants to commute and/or run errands around town.
